Dancheong is a concept that encompasses painting, calligraphy, painting, painting, and painting on buildings using five colors, such as blue, red, yellow, white, and black, and painting on sculptures, stone, tombs, and caves.
It is a traditional Korean coloring technique that beautifully decorates the pillars, beams, and walls of buildings, and is mainly used in buildings such as temples, palaces, and old houses. Kim Seong-gyu, Director of the Daejeon Intangible Heritage Administration, is working on preserving these traditional dancheong techniques and reinterpreting them in accordance with the modern era.
