이백현 석장 이수자, 국가무형유산

이재순 국가무형유산 석장 기능보유자의 아들인 이백현 이수자는 아버지를 따라 유년시절에 미술관, 박물관, 전통 불교 사찰 등을 많이 갔다. 그때부터 전통 조각이나 현대 조각, 현대 회화 등 미술 전반에 걸친 흥미를 키웠다. 2007년 보물 190호인 원주 거돈사 원공국사승묘탑 재현, 2008년 보물 139호 월정사 석조보살좌상 복원, 보물 446호 양양 선림원지 홍각선사비 복원, 2010년 국보 1호 숭례문 육축 및 성곽 복원, 2014년 보물 6호 고달사지 원종대사혜진탑비 복원, 2016년 국보 11호 익산 미륵사지 석탑 복원, 2018년 국보 101호 법천사지 지광국사현묘탑 복원 등 왕성한 활동을 이어오고 있다.
Lee Baek-hyeon Certified Trainee in Seokjang, National Intangible Cultural Heritage

Lee Baek-hyeon is a Certified Trainee of Seokjang and the son of Lee Jae-soon, a holder of National Intangible Cultural Heritage. He frequently visited museums, art galleries, and traditional Buddhist temples with his father during his childhood. Through these experiences, he developed an early interest in art, encompassing traditional and contemporary sculpture as well as modern painting. Since then, he has been actively involved in the restoration and reproduction of significant cultural heritage sites and artifacts. His work includes the reproduction of the Wongong-guksa Seungmyo Pagoda at Geodonsa Temple in Wonju (Treasure No. 190, 2007); the restoration of the Stone Seated Bodhisattva at Woljeongsa Temple (Treasure No. 139, 2008); the Honggak-seonsa Stele at Seollimwon-ji, Yangyang (Treasure No. 446); the stone base and fortress walls of Sungnyemun Gate, National Treasure No. 1 (2010); the Wonjong-daesa Hyejin Stele at Godalsa-ji (Treasure No. 6, 2014); the stone pagoda at the Mireuksa Temple Site in Iksan (National Treasure No. 11, 2016); and the Jigwang-guksa Hyeonmyo Pagoda at the Beopcheonsa Temple Site (National Treasure No. 101, 2018). He continues to actively contribute to the preservation and restoration of Korea’s stone cultural heritage.
