이명호 작가는 중앙대 사진학과를 졸업하고 2009년 뉴욕의 유명 사진 전문 갤러리 요시밀로 갤러리에서 개인전을 열었고 현재 요시밀로 갤러리의 전속작가로 소속되어 있다. 미국 LA 폴게티미술관과 일본 키요사토 사진 미술관, 프랑스 에르메스 재단, 국립현대미술관, 암스테르담 사진 미술관 등 국내외 주요 미술관 및 컬렉션에 작품이 소장되어 있다. 작가의 주요 작품으로는 ‘나무’, ‘사막’, ‘바다’ 등의 시리즈들이 있고 스케일이 큰 작업을 해 오고 있다. 경복궁·덕수궁 등 문화유산 수리 현장에서 진행한 ‘아트펜스’ 작업으로도 잘 알려져 있으며, 2023년에는 국가유산청 궁능유적본부 홍보대사로 위촉되었다.

Lee Myoung Ho graduated from the Department of Photography at Chung-Ang University and held a solo exhibition in 2009 at Yossi Milo Gallery, a renowned photography gallery in New York. He is currently represented by the gallery. His work is held in major museums and collections in Korea and abroad, including the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles, the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Japan, the Fondation d’entreprise Hermès in France, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea, and the Amsterdam Museum of Photography. His major bodies of work include the Tree, Desert, and Sea series, through which he has developed large-scale photographic works. He is also well known for his Art Fence project at heritage restoration sites such as Gyeongbokgung and Deoksugung Palaces. In 2023, he was appointed as an honorary ambassador for the Royal Palaces and Tombs Center of the Korea Heritage Service.
