박수이(Park Sui)는 숙명여자대학교 및 동 대학원에서 목칠공예를 전공한 옻칠 전문 공예 작가로, 수이57아뜰리에를 운영하며 대학 겸임교수로도 활동하고 있습니다. 생활기물, 칠화, 가구 등 일상에 스며드는 옻칠 작품을 만들며, 하나의 기물에 30~60회의 칠 작업을 거치는 정성스러운 방식으로 작업합니다. 옻나무 천연도료를 나무·삼베 등 자연재료에 칠해 친환경적이면서도 내구성과 방수성이 뛰어난 공예품을 추구합니다. 리움스토어 입점 작가이며 뉴욕 티·라이프스타일 편집숍 Leef NYC에도 소개될 만큼 국내외에서 주목받고 있습니다. 최근에는 티하우스에서 개인전을 개최하며 차 문화와 옻칠 기물의 아름다운 조화를 선보였습니다.
Park Sui Lacquer Craft

Park Sui, who majored in wood and lacquer craft at Sookmyung Women’s University and its graduate school, is a lacquer craft artist who runs Sui57 Atelier and also teaches as an adjunct professor. She creates lacquer works ranging from everyday objects and lacquer paintings to furniture, bringing lacquer into everyday life through a meticulous process of applying thirty to sixty layers to each piece. Using natural lacquer from the lacquer tree on natural materials such as wood and hemp cloth, she creates craftworks that combine environmental sustainability with exceptional durability and water resistance. Her work is carried by the Leeum Museum Store and has been featured at Leef NYC, a tea and lifestyle boutique in New York, attracting attention both in Korea and abroad. More recently, she held a solo exhibition at a teahouse, showcasing the harmonious relationship between tea culture and lacquerware.
