최민우 [칠장]
최민우 작가는 부모님으로부터 옻칠을 배우고 성장하였다. 배제대 칠예과를 졸업하였으며, 경일대 박사를 수료하였다. 또한 통영옻칠미술관에서 큐레이터로 활동하여 작가와 미술관에 대한 이해도가 높다. 지금은 채화칠기 기능전수자 이수자로 다수 공모전과 교육업에 종사하고 있다.작품은 대나무잎 원반상으로 대나무 잎을 겹겹이 올려 자개로는 표현하지 못하는 채화만의 특징이 엿보인다. 대나무 잎은 예로부터 지조와 절개, 인내를 상징하는 전통문양으로써 현대화에 맞게 디자인하였다.

Choi Min-woo [Lacquerware]
Choi Min-woo was introduced to the art of lacquerware by his parents from a young age. He graduated from the Department of Lacquerware Art at Paichai University and went on to earn a doctorate from Kyungil University. His experience as a curator at the Tongyeong Lacquerware Museum has given him a deep appreciation and understanding of both the craft and its cultural significance. Currently, he is a certified practitioner of Chiljang (lacquerware) and is actively involved in various competitions and educational programs. One of his standout pieces is a Round Bamboo Leaf Tray, featuring layers of bamboo leaves that showcase the unique qualities of Chiljang—achieving effects that mother-of-pearl cannot. The bamboo leaf motif, traditionally symbolizing integrity, loyalty, and perseverance, has been reimagined with a modern design.
